Rubber air spring is a flexible load-bearing element that uses the elastic effect of compressed air. It is widely used in vehicle suspension, industrial vibration reduction and other fields. Its basic structure is mainly composed of the following core components:
1. Rubber airbag (elastic body)**
Function: elastic deformation is achieved by filling compressed air, bearing load and buffering vibration.

Structural form:
Ball type: composed of multiple arc-shaped rubber bag sections (such as single, double, triple), sealed and connected by metal pressure rings, the more curves, the better the elasticity.

2. Upper cover plate (upper end plate)
Function: fixedly connected to the vehicle body or equipment, usually made of metal (steel or aluminum alloy), sealing the upper end of the airbag.
Design: with bolt holes or flanges for easy installation.
3. Piston (lower end plate/base)
Function: Support the lower part of the airbag, guide the deformation direction, and some designs can adjust the spring stiffness.
For membrane type: The piston shape (such as cone, step shape) of the membrane air spring directly affects the elastic characteristics.
4. Sealing component
Airtight layer: The rubber layer on the inner wall of the airbag prevents air leakage.
Metal pressure ring: The edge of the rubber airbag is tightly fixed to the cover plate/piston through the vulcanization process.
5. Additional components (according to application requirements)
Air pipeline: Connect the air source for inflation and deflation.
Height valve: Automatically adjust the air pressure in the airbag to maintain the height of the vehicle body.
Integrated shock absorber: Some designs have built-in dampers (such as passenger car air suspension).
Working principle
After inflation, the airbag expands to form an elastic support; when the load increases, the air pressure increases to provide greater bearing capacity, while absorbing vibrations through deformation. The adjustability of air pressure allows dynamic adjustment of stiffness and height.
